This is the privacy policy for Build and Manage, LLC, doing business as Build and Manage, operating from Mays Landing, NJ (https://njbam.com). It explains, plainly, what information we collect when you contact us about a project, what we do with it, and your rights regarding it.
Short version: we collect what you tell us so we can quote and run your project. We don't sell it, we don't share it with anyone who isn't directly involved in serving you, and we keep it only as long as we need it.
What we collect
When you fill out the estimate form, email us, or call us, you typically share:
- Your name
- A phone number or email
- The address of the property
- What you're trying to do (the project description and any photos you send)
If you become a client, we additionally keep payment records, contracts, and project documentation (drawings, photos of work, change orders) for our business records and warranty obligations.
What we don't collect
- We don't run analytics tracking that follows you around the web. The site uses standard server logs only (IP, page requested, timestamp).
- We don't use third-party advertising cookies on this site.
- We don't ask for sensitive identifiers (Social Security, government ID) unless required for a financing application or insurance claim, and only after we ask.
How we use your information
- To respond to your inquiry and quote the project.
- To run your project — communicate with you, schedule crews, send photos.
- To bill you and keep records as required by law (typically 7 years for tax / contracting purposes in NJ).
- To honor warranty work after the project closes.
- If we ask permission first: to feature finished work in our portfolio or marketing.
Who we share it with
We share your information only as needed to do the job:
- Subcontractors and partner trades doing portions of the work (HVAC, electrical, roofing) — only what they need to perform their scope.
- Suppliers when an item is delivered to your address.
- Township and inspectors when permits and inspections are required.
- Our accountant and lawyer as part of normal business operations, subject to professional confidentiality.
- Government or court if compelled by valid legal process.
We do not sell your information. We do not share it with marketers.
How long we keep it
- Inquiries that don't become projects: typically 12 months, then deleted.
- Active projects and finished projects: 7 years from project close, in line with NJ tax and contracting requirements.
- Photos and documentation we use in marketing: indefinitely, with your prior written permission. You can revoke marketing use at any time by emailing us.
Your rights
You can ask us, at any time, to:
- Tell you what information we hold about you.
- Correct anything that's inaccurate.
- Delete your information (subject to our legal retention obligations).
- Stop using your project photos in marketing.

Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we hold. No system is perfectly secure; we don't pretend otherwise. If we ever suffer a breach affecting your personal information, we'll notify you as required by law.
Children
This site isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent change. Material changes will be flagged on the home page.
